Learn About CCR&R

As one of sixteen Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) centers in Illinois, SAL Child Care Connection of Central Illinois focuses on finding child care that is tailored to meet the needs of each family, helping families determine if they qualify for help to pay for child care, providing training for those who work with children, recruiting additional child care providers, and providing relevant consultations in child care programs within the nine counties we serve. Those counties are:

For Families

Families can contact us for help finding an early care and education program to meet their needs and learn about what questions to ask to ensure their child learns and grows in a quality care setting. By contacting our office, families can receive personalized referrals based on program, location, rates, or specific family needs, and talk with a specialist to determine if your family qualifies for payment assistance through the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP).

For Providers

Licensed and license-exempt child care centers and family child care providers can access a variety of free and low-cost resources through our office for support. We offer free support from our quality team, year-round training sessions and workshops, technical assistance, start-up information for providers looking to provide child care, and on-site resources that will help you offer the best care possible to the families you serve.
